Story Corner Cushions - Part of the NEW Embellish Baby Nursery Range

Well its been a while since I last posted and I have been busy trying to design a new Nursery Range. My little family will be expecting a new addition in August - another little girl who we have chosen to name Grace.

Due to Grace's arrival it has spured me on to upgrade Rubys room to a 'big girls room' which means removing all the 'nursery furniture' and replacing it with alternatives. So the custom bed I designed is on order, and should be with us shortly, the built in wardrobe is being fitted with a clothes rail and shelf (thank you daddy) - however my biggest hurdle was thinking of how I was going to remove the rocking chair. Ruby has her bedtime milk and story cuddled up on the chair with me or daddy, however as my Grace shaped bump grows bigger and bigger its becoming more and more difficult. So speaking with my sister who is a qualified nanny, we came up with a brilliant idea of a 'story corner' with giant cushions for us to snuggle down into a read a good book!

So here they are:

Four personalised cushions, I have carried on the butterfly theme which already exsists in Rubys room because of her mural. And was inspired by a Camelot/Princess lamp I brought her when she was only a few weeks old.
The specific crown shape I have created here is simple and basic and gives the hint of royalty, it will also play a major part in her bed design too! (keep an eye out for that soon)

These two cushions are the smaller of the two, they are 18 inch cushion pads and are costed at £12.99 each (which includes the cushion pad)

All the detail on the cushion is hand stitched and the designs are unique to Embellish Baby.

And these are the larger cushions - they are 27 inch cushion pads and are costed at £20.00 each.

Again all detail is hand stitched (even each panel of the patchwork cover is hand stitched) and the designs are unique to Embellish Baby.

I can offer just the cushion covers with no pad and alter the size if you already have cushion pads you wish to revamp! And I will also be doing a few 'boys' ones too soon as I have quite a few pregnant friends.

Vintage Bunting Door Hangers

I dont know about you but I love everything vintage and I find it all really inspiring! Upon finding out I am expecting our second child (yeahy) I thought itwould be lovely to make some door hangings for each of the bedrooms. Rubys is now up on her door and she loves it! It gets pointed at and 'wow'd at everytime she passes.

Any name can be created in any shape really - i just chose hearts as Ruby has hearts already featured in her room.
I am selling them for £10 each (+p&p)
As normal I can be contacted on email: emma.wooderson@o2email.co.uk

My Latest Toyboxes

Christmas is a busy time for everyone, however with two toyboxes to get done before christmas eve I was extra busy. Two toyboxes, one for a little girl and one for a little boy.

Elissa - she wanted pink and girly with Disneys Beauty and The Beast images, so I selected a lovely image of Belle for the front of the box, and the wilted rose for the side of the box - simple but effective.

Theo wanted a little Boy box with Roary the Racing car images to match in with his Roary themed bedroom mural, so Roary it was clutching a trophey, and on the side a simple chequered flag.

Theo and Elissas dad informed me that they would have all their christmas presents inside their new boxes on christmas morning, luckily we managed to deliver the boxes on christmas eve, despite the snow and ice! I cant wait to see their pictures!!

Finleys Toybox

Well I have just dropped off my first custom toybox for a gorgeous little boy called Finley. I was given the brief of a white box, with baby blue padded seat and letters with images of Pixar Cars on the box.

The images are all drawn by freehand, and then handpainted, and the padded seat lid was hand sewn to ensure a neat and tidy finish.

Christmas is here!!

Well Christmas is certainly here, and to celebrate Embellish Baby is personalising Christmas Baubles, whether its for a little one's first birthday or as a gift for a friend or relative, its a perfect way to bring a sparling personal touch to your tree this year

I have had a few orders for these now, and at £6 each, two for £10, or five for £20 you cant go wrong!!

Its nearly Christmas!! Giant Fabric Advent Calendar

Fancy something different that the normal chocolate advent calendar this year?? As a mum I was slightly put off with the idea of my 18 month old daughter having chocolates everyday and not being able to learn the true meaning of Christmas. I decided I would make her a fabric advent calendar in which i could pop a tree decoration in each pocket by which I could teach her traditional values and tell those warming Christmas stories we all associate with a great family christmas!

Giant Advent calender made from fleece, hand sewn pockets large enough to pop little treats inside.
This tree is approx 4ft tall and would cost approx £20.00

Any design can be done, this just happens to be a tree, I can do a star, stocking, christmas pud or snowman - or your own choice of design.
